The Milky Way arching over the peaks above Rakchham
Under the darkest skies in the Himalaya

Stargazing Expedition

Telescopes, the naked-eye Milky Way and night-sky storytelling around a mountain bonfire.

The Experience

Under the darkest skies in the Himalaya

Rakchham sits far from the nearest city glow, high in a valley ringed by peaks. The result is a sky most people have never truly seen — a deep, velvet dark in which the Milky Way is not a rumour but a river of light you can trace from horizon to horizon.

Our Stargazing Expedition is a guided journey into that sky. As night falls we gather away from every lamp, let our eyes adjust, and begin: constellations named and storied, planets found, deep-space objects pulled close through the telescope. It is equal parts science, wonder and quiet.

Between viewings there is a bonfire, hot chocolate, and the particular stillness of a mountain night. Bring your curiosity; we'll bring the rest.
